What is a trackable QR code called?
A trackable QR code is called a dynamic QR code — the two terms describe the same thing. Instead of encoding the destination directly, a dynamic code encodes a short redirect link controlled by a provider; because every scan passes through that redirect, it can be counted and analysed (time, device, approximate location), and the destination can be edited after printing.
You'll also see marketing names like 'smart QR code', 'editable QR code' or 'QR code with analytics' — they all mean dynamic. The opposite is a static QR code: destination baked into the pattern, free forever, nothing tracked, nothing editable.
If tracking is the feature you're after, search for 'dynamic QR code' when comparing providers — that's the industry term every serious service uses.
